Juvenile charges are hard to navigate, especially when courts try to decide whether a minor should receive judgment as an adult. In a situation involving adults and minors together, there is even more to navigate.

Magnolia State Live reports on a series of arrests that happened after a string of burglaries.

Bonds and arrests

Authorities took two adults and two juveniles into custody over investigations involving auto burglaries over a period of months. The two adults received bonds between $30,000 and $40,000. The two juveniles received referrals to the Lafayette County Youth Court.

Adults and youths

The two adults have received several charges including cyberstalking, possession of stolen firearms by a felon and auto burglary.

The report does not declare what the two juveniles face.

There is a lot that goes into a juvenile case, especially when that case involves adults. A case becomes more complicated if a juvenile, charged with a crime involving an adult, found themselves pressured into things. Some cases include various forms of abuse, as adults pressure impressionable youths to assist them in alleged crimes.

If the case involves pressure, it is difficult to say that any minors acted voluntarily. Peer pressure and other forms of leverage may make it easy for a juvenile to participate in a crime.

In those cases, it is vital to treat said juveniles as fairly as possible. A child under 18 faces enormous pressures and, with a severe conviction, risks the rest of their future. When facing serious charges, it is always important to lean on serious resources to help with a legal defense.
